SUStainable TEXtiles

an FTILab+ project

The SUSTEX project embodies an on-line database and physical catalogue of sustainable textile materials for the use of researchers, students and other stakeholders.

Within the project, expertise in sustainable design practises is built and shared with stakeholders in the fashion industry.

The project is also looking into new resources for making textile fibers.

SUSTEX is one of several projects of the FTILAB+ research center. The FTILab+ is a research center of HOGENT that wants to empower the processing and manufacturing industries to transform into circular, bio-based and digitized businesses by means of connecting researchers, industry, students, designers, policy makers, end-users and academics.
